OLYMPIC EQUIPMENT — CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & REFUNDS

1. Cancellations Before Shipment

Except as otherwise required by applicable law, customer-requested cancellations received before shipment are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the purchase price of the canceled merchandise. The remaining balance paid for the canceled merchandise, together with unincurred shipping charges and applicable refundable taxes, will be refunded.

Cancellation requests must be submitted to info@olympic-equipment.com and include the purchaser’s name and order number. For purposes of this policy, merchandise is considered shipped when physically accepted by the carrier for delivery to the customer or of a creation of a shipping label or BOL. Orders ready to ship with the BOL already created are subject to the 20% restocking fee plus shipping costs if already incurred.

2. Returns After Shipment

After shipment, customer-requested cancellations will be handled as returns. All returns require prior written authorization from Olympic Equipment and must be received at the designated return location within 30 days of the original shipment date.

Approved returns are subject to:

  • A 20% restocking fee calculated on the purchase price of the returned merchandise, excluding sales tax and separately stated shipping charges; and
  • The actual outbound and return shipping costs, including outbound freight originally included in the purchase price or advertised as free shipping.

Freight charges already paid or deducted will not be charged twice.

3. Return Eligibility and Condition

Returned merchandise must be new, unused, uninstalled, and complete, with all original components, accessories, manuals, and resalable packaging. Installed or used equipment is not eligible for a return.

Special-order, factory-order, or customized merchandise is non-returnable or refundable.

The customer is responsible for arranging authorized return transportation and adequate packaging and loading. Documented loss or damage occurring during a customer-arranged return may reduce the refund, without duplicating amounts recovered from the carrier or insurance.

4. Refused Deliveries

A delivery refused because the customer no longer wants the merchandise is subject to the same 20% restocking fee and actual outbound and return freight charges. Refusal does not eliminate these charges or establish return eligibility for otherwise non-returnable merchandise.

5. Refund Processing

Approved return refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after receipt and inspection, unless applicable law requires an earlier refund. Olympic Equipment will provide an itemized explanation of deductions. Completed installation, labor, and other services are non-refundable except as required by law.

6. Defective Merchandise, Shipping Delays, and Statutory Rights

The cancellation and restocking fees above apply to voluntary customer cancellations and returns. They do not apply where the customer is legally entitled to a fee-free cancellation, refund, rejection, or other remedy because of defective or nonconforming merchandise, Olympic Equipment’s failure to perform, or a qualifying shipping delay.

Where applicable law requires notice of a shipping delay, consent to a revised shipment date, or a full refund, Olympic Equipment will comply with those requirements. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

7. Cosmetic Condition and Product Damage

Olympic Equipment’s lifts are heavy-duty steel products. Minor scratches, superficial dents or dings, and paint irregularities may occur during manufacturing, handling, or transportation. When these conditions are solely cosmetic and do not affect the lift’s structural integrity, functionality, or safe operation, they are not grounds for replacement, reimbursement, or a price adjustment, except as required by applicable law. This provision does not exclude claims involving structural damage, impaired operation, safety concerns, or other legally protected rights.
