Company Policies

1. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Authorization and Eligibility

All returns require prior written authorization from Olympic Shop Equipment, the manufacturer, or the authorized distributor. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

  • Time Limit: Products are non-returnable and non-refundable 30 days after the date of shipment.
  • Non-Returnable Items: Special orders, factory orders (advance placements), and any equipment or accessories that have been installed or used are strictly non-returnable.
  • Non-Refundable Services: Costs for transportation, installation, labor, or other services are non-refundable.

Return Condition and Logistics

Approved returns must be received at the original point of sale in new, unused, and uninstalled condition, within the original resalable packaging.

  • Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Freight Requirements: LTL freight returns must be shipped from a business with an on-site forklift or dropped off at the nearest truck terminal. Olympic Equipment does not fund residential pickups or lift-gate services.
  • International Warranty Shipping: For warranted products sourced outside the U.S., Olympic provides free replacement shipping to the nearest U.S. port. All subsequent international shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Fees and Circumstantial Costs

The party responsible for canceling an order incurs all associated transaction and logistical costs. Olympic Equipment reserves the right to apply the following:

  • Restocking Fee: 20% of the purchase price.
  • Transaction Fees: A 6% total credit card fee (comprised of a 3% initial transaction fee and a 3% cancellation fee).
  • Shipping Recovery: Actual delivery and return transportation costs, plus any additional reasonable circumstantial costs.

2. Shipping Delays and Preorders

Both parties acknowledge that factors beyond the seller’s control—including manufacturing, port congestion, customs, weather, strikes, and transportation issues—may cause shipping delays.

  • Requests within 120 Days: If a customer requests a refund for an order delayed up to 120 days, the refund will be issued less a 6% transaction fee.
  • Requests beyond 120 Days: If a shipping delay exceeds 120 days, refund requests will be honored in full without penalty.

3. Product Support and Warranty

Problem Resolution

While we strive to resolve transportation or installation issues quickly, many products are imported. Please allow adequate time for the procurement of repair parts or replacement supplies.

  • Installation Requirement: The Olympic Limited Warranty requires professional installation of all devices.
  • Liability: Olympic Equipment LLC is not responsible for buyer selections, installation methods, usage, or minor variations in dimensions and fitment.
  • Freight Damage: Insignificant transit damage (scratches, dents, or light surface rust) that does not affect equipment operation is not warranted.

4. Scheduling and Payments

Deliveries and Installations

  • Deliveries: Scheduled only after products are entered into our warehouse inventory. Contact info@olympic-equipment.com for status updates.
  • Installations: Must be paid in full and in advance. Scheduling is handled on a first-paid, first-served basis.

Forms of Payment

We accept most credit cards, checks, or bank wire transfers.

  • We do not accept Check-By-Phone, COD orders, or PayPal (except via eBay).
  • Financing options are available on our financing page.

5. Sales Tax Policy

  • Washington State: A 9.3% sales tax is added to all in-state deliveries and all "will-call" orders picked up at our Arlington, WA warehouse, regardless of the buyer's home state.
  • Out-of-State: We accept orders without sales tax for the other 49 states, provided the items are delivered across state lines (interstate sales).
