Start with the application
Identify the work before comparing models: storage, general service, wheel-off repair, alignment, fleet maintenance or heavy-duty service. Then record the heaviest fully loaded vehicle, wheelbase, track width, lifting points, roof height and planned accessories. A 14,000-lb lift is not automatically suitable for every vehicle below 14,000 lb.

Compare concrete thickness and strength, anchor pattern, power, compressed air, ceiling clearance, approach space and local permits. Challenger publishes model-specific foundation requirements for the 4P14 series. Olympic directs buyers to its manual library and offers professional installation where available. Never transfer the installation requirements of one model—or one brand—to another.
Certification: compare exact listings
All Olympic lifts are CE-certified, while the 2PAS-10 is Olympic’s ALI-certified model. CE and ALI are different systems. For ALI claims, check the exact model and suffix in the current ALI directory, then confirm the gold certification label on the delivered lift. CE marking is a separate system and is not a substitute for an ALI listing.
Warranty, parts and service
Read both written warranties rather than comparing headline years. Check which structural, hydraulic, electrical and wear components are covered, who pays freight and labor, required maintenance records, and whether commercial use changes coverage. Choose the verified model and support package that fits the vehicle and site. Challenger may suit buyers who prioritize a listed local installer network or a particular certified configuration. Olympic may suit buyers who value Olympic’s published model range, direct support, online manuals, parts availability and installation option. The decision should be supported by written model-specific evidence.
