Do not compare capacity alone
Two lifts with the same rated capacity can differ in arm reach, pad height, column height, drive-through clearance, power requirements and approved adapters. Verify that the arms can reach the vehicle manufacturer’s lifting points without overextension and that the vehicle’s loaded axle distribution fits the lift’s rated limits.
Certification and documentation
All Olympic lifts are CE-certified, and the 2PAS-10 is Olympic’s ALI-certified model. CE and ALI are different systems. Use the current ALI directory to verify the exact manufacturer, model and configuration. “ALI-certified company” is not the same as an ALI-certified lift. Also check the current manual, installation instructions and gold label on the delivered equipment. Installation and service
Rotary promotes its Rotary Authorized Installer locator. Olympic offers professional installation subject to location and site conditions, plus service assistance and replacement parts. For either brand, obtain a written scope identifying concrete evaluation, anchoring, electrical work, unloading, permits, training and post-install inspection.
Warranty comparison
Compare the complete written warranties for the exact models. Look beyond the advertised term: structural coverage, power-unit and cylinder coverage, wear parts, freight, field labor, maintenance requirements, transferability and commercial-use exclusions all matter. Olympic’s current published terms are on its warranty page. Request the current Rotary warranty from Rotary or the authorized installer quoting the job.
